Our Vision

Founded in 2003, Families Forward is a non-profit community development corporation and the internal non-profit for the Central Oregon Regional Housing Authority, dba Housing Works. Families Forward allows Housing Works to provide direct support services to over 1400 low-income families in Central Oregon that are participating in the Housing Choice Voucher program or residing in Housing Works affordable housing properties. Families Forward serves our families and achieves its mission through the provision of services in three core areas:
1. Removing barriers to accessing affordable housing
Moving Forward Fund—Low barrier rental security deposit loans and grants.
2. Asset Building
Valley Individual Development Account Matched Saving program.
Credit Builder Loan program
3. Resident services program
On-site youth and adult programs at Housing Works owned properties.
