Emergency Housing Vouchers now available!
Starting July 1, 2021 Housing Works will begin issuing Emergency Housing Vouchers to eligible referrals in collaboration with the Anti Trafficking Project, Homeless Leadership Coalition and Saving Grace. If you would like more information regarding these vouchers and where to apply, click here.
In order to be determine eligibility, applicants must first be referred by Central Oregon’s Continuum of Care or a Victim Service Provider. To be referred and determine if you qualify, please connect with one of our partners below.

Project Based Voucher Waitlist to Reopen!
Housing Works is pleased to announce that the project based voucher waiting list for Midtown Place in Redmond, OR will open at 8 a.m. PTS on Monday, June 6th, 2022, and will remain open until 5 p.m. PTS on Thursday June 9th, 2022. This specific waitlist has a total of (8) 2 and 3 bedroom project based units.
Preference Information: Housing Works has a local residency preference. Those applicants that reside in Crook, Deschutes or Jefferson Counties or whose household includes a family member who works or has been notified that they are hired to work, in Crook, Deschutes or Jefferson Counties will be served before those residing outside this area. Additionally, four of the eight units have a preference for veterans receiving services from the local VA office with an income at or below 30% of the area median income. These applicants will also be served before those residing outside this area. Occupancy and income limits apply.

We’ve Re-opened!
We are happy to announce that Housing Works has re-open its doors to the public. Thank you for all your patience! Now that we’ve reopened, here’s just a few things to keep in mind:
- We are returning to regular business hours (Monday – Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday’s 8am to noon)
- When entering our office, we ask that anyone that has been exposed or with COVID related symptoms not come into the office or wear a mask.
- Limited occupancy will be available in the lobby (under 6 guests at a time)
- If a client would like to speak with their Housing Specialist, they may do so by appointment only. We will be unable to accept walk-ins for these types of requests.
- Clients can pre-schedule appointments by calling 541-923-1018 directly
- The drop box located in the front of our building is still available for use anytime

We are the local housing authority for Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson counties. We offer the Housing Choice Voucher rental assistance program funded by HUD, affordable housing for rent through our award winning apartment communities, and home ownership opportunities.
