On April 10th, 2020, HUD issued a list of waivers allowing PHAs additional flexibility during the COVID-19 pandemic. To view the waivers implemented by Housing Works, please click here. THREE PROJECT BASED VOUCHER WAITLIST TO OPEN

The Project Based Voucher Waitlists for:

  • Bridge Meadows in Redmond, OR
  • Phoenix Crossing in Bend, OR
  • Ochoco School Crossing in Prineville, OR

will open at 8am on Monday August 15th and will remain open until 5pm on Thursday August 25th. Scroll further down for additional details and waitlist information as each waitlist is different.

Three Project Based Voucher Waitlists to Open in August!

Housing Works is pleased to announce that the project based voucher waiting list for three different communities in Central Oregon starting at 8:00 a.m. on Monday August 15th, 2022 through 5:00 p.m. Thursday August 25th, 2022.  See below for specific details related to each waitlist and their community location/preferences.

Bridge Meadows:

A mix of (3) 3 and 4 bedroom Project Based Voucher Family Units located in Redmond Oregon. This waitlist has a local residency preference as well as a preference for families who are in the process of adopting or providing guardianship to youth from DHS Child Welfare.  Priority will be given to applicants who are clients of DHS Child Welfare as well as those applicants that reside in Crook, Deschutes or Jefferson Counties or whose household includes a family member who works, or has been notified that they are hired to work, in Crook, Deschutes or Jefferson Counties.  These applicants will be served before those residing outside this area. Additionally, these units have a preference for applicants with an income limit at or below 30% of the area median income under the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program.

Phoenix Crossing Apartments:

A mix of (12) studios and or 1 bedroom Project Based Voucher units located at in Bend Oregon. This waitlist has a local residency preference as well as a preference for those that are receiving services from Full Access for person(s) with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities or Saving Grace for victims of domestic violence.  Priority will be given to applicants who are clients of Full Access and Saving Grace, as well as those applicants that reside in Crook, Deschutes or Jefferson Counties or whose household includes a family member who works, or has been notified that they are hired to work, in Crook, Deschutes or Jefferson Counties.  These applicants will be served before those residing outside this area. Additionally, these units have a preference for applicants with an income limit at or below 30%of the area median income under the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program.

Ochoco School Crossing:

A mix of (7) 1, 2 and 3 bedroom Project Based Voucher units located in Prineville Oregon. This waitlist has a local residency preference as well as a preference given to applicants who are disabled and clients of the Department of Human Services (DHS) or Saving Grace for victims of domestic violence.  Priority will be given to applicants who are clients of DHS and Saving Grace, as well as those applicants that reside in Crook, Deschutes or Jefferson Counties or whose household includes a family member who works, or has been notified that they are hired to work, in Crook, Deschutes or Jefferson Counties.  These applicants will be served before those residing outside this area.  Additionally, these units have a preference for applicants with an income limit at or below 30% of the area median income under the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program.

Income limits and occupancy standards apply for all Project Based Voucher Units.  The time you apply during the week does not impact your position on the list.  All applications taken during this time frame will be randomized by a computer and placed on the waiting list to give all applicants an equal chance.

Emergency Housing Vouchers

In order to be determine eligibility, applicants must first be referred by Central Oregon’s Continuum of Care or a Victim Service Provider. To be referred and determine if you qualify, please connect with one of our partners below.

We’ve Re-opened!

We are happy to announce that Housing Works has re-open its doors to the public. Thank you for all your patience! Now that we’ve reopened, here’s just a few things to keep in mind:

  • We are returning to regular business hours (Monday – Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday’s 8am to noon)
  • When entering our office, we ask that anyone that has been exposed or with COVID related symptoms not come into the office or wear a mask.
  • Limited occupancy will be available in the lobby (under 6 guests at a time)
  • If a client would like to speak with their Housing Specialist, they may do so by appointment only. We will be unable to accept walk-ins for these types of requests.
  • Clients can pre-schedule appointments by calling 541-923-1018 directly
  • The drop box located in the front of our building is still available for use anytime
