PATHWorks Program to Expand in 2025

Great news for Central Oregon! Thanks to HUD funding, Housing Works will be expanding our PATHWorks program with a new Family Self-Sufficiency Coordinator in 2025. This opportunity will allow us to support 50 more Housing Choice Voucher holders in achieving their goals.

PATHWorks is a volunteer program allowing families in the Housing Choice Voucher program to increase income, reduce reliance on public assistance, and achieve goals like employment, education, homeownership, and health improvements. This work is rooted in our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, ensuring that all families, regardless of background, have the resources and support they need to thrive.

Since 1992, PATHWorks has helped 328 graduates reduce or eliminate public assistance, 168 become homeowners, and 95 active families increase earned income by over $1 million. We are proud to continue fostering inclusive opportunities that create stronger, more equitable communities in Central Oregon.

Our Mission – “fostering dignity through housing”

Welcome to the Housing Works website.  Here you will find information and resources on all aspects of housing services including rental assistance, apartment communities and home buying programs.  We are the local housing authority for Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson counties. We offer the Housing Choice Voucher rental assistance program funded by HUD, affordable housing for rent through our award winning apartment communities, and home ownership opportunities.  In addition, this site will also provide you information on our client services programs that feature asset building, opportunities for kids and family sustainability.
