Housing Works is excited to announce the re-opening of the Project-Based Voucher waiting lists for two Central Oregon communities—Hawks View Estates in La Pine and Ochoco School Crossing Apartments in Prineville! Both waitlists will open at 8:00 a.m. PT on Monday, December 1, 2025, and will close promptly at 5:00 p.m. PT on Monday, December 8, 2025.
Hawks View in La Pine, OR offers eight 3-bedroom Project Based Voucher units giving priority to applicants who are clients of the Department of Human Services (DHS) through Child Welfare or Self-Sufficiency.

Ochoco School Crossing in Prineville, OR includes a mix of seven 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom Project Based Voucher units giving priority to clients of DHS or Saving Grace.

Important Information:
- Residency Preference: Housing Works gives priority to applicants who reside in Crook, Deschutes, or Jefferson Counties or have a household member who works or has been hired to work in one of these counties.
- Income Preference: These units are designated for applicants whose income falls at or below 50% of the area median income (AMI) under the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Program.
- Occupancy Standards: All applicants must meet occupancy requirements at the time of selection from the waitlist. Please review the attached Information Sheet for details.
