Housing Works is thrilled to announce the re-opening of the waitlist for Canyon Edge’s Project-Based Vouchers in Redmond, OR! Starting Monday, November 4, 2024, at 8:00 a.m., eligible applicants can apply for one of eight 3-bedroom units. The application window closes Friday, November 8, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. Any applications received prior to the opening and after the closing of the waitlist WILL NOT be accepted.

Income Limit Priority: Applicants with household income at or below 30% of the area median income will also receive priority.

Housing Works is seeking a Deschutes County representative to serve on its Board of Commissioners. If interested, please submit a letter of interest by October 31st, 2024.

Housing Works Welcomes New Executive Director, Lynne McConnell

We are excited to share that Housing Works has appointed Lynne McConnell, currently the Housing Director for the City of Bend, as our new Executive Director. McConnell brings extensive experience in affordable housing and nonprofit leadership, with a deep understanding of Central Oregon’s unique challenges. She will be stepping into the role in December, succeeding David Brandt, who is retiring after six years of dedicated service. For more information, click here to read the press release

Welcome to the Housing Works website.  Here you will find information and resources on all aspects of housing services including rental assistance, apartment communities and home buying programs.  We are the local housing authority for Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson counties. We offer the Housing Choice Voucher rental assistance program funded by HUD, affordable housing for rent through our award winning apartment communities, and home ownership opportunities.  In addition, this site will also provide you information on our client services programs that feature asset building, opportunities for kids and family sustainability.
