Build My Future
Reliable, quality rental housing is a cornerstone of economic stability. But Housing Works recognizes this is only one block in building community.
While access to affordable housing is our core mission, we also help families and individuals lay a solid foundation with other essentials–savings accounts, after-school programs, deposit assistance and credit-building loans, and home ownership planning.
Home is where your story begins
We invite our Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) recipients—and anyone else interested in expanding their future–to explore the many programs we offer to sustain families, help people build financial assets, and provide opportunities for kids.
VIDA – Savings for life
The Valley Individual Development Account (VIDA) is a custodial savings account that you, as the participant, will deposit savings into monthly. CASA of Oregon, the administrator, will match your savings 3 to 1, which means you will triple your money. The VIDA Program prepares and assists families and individuals to plan for and reach financial goals. Are you interested in saving for buying a home, paying for education or starting a business? Eligibility for the program will be determined by a Family Self Sufficiency Coordinator who will submit your application to CASA. Contact our Family Self Sufficiency Program for more information.
