Bend, OR. Housing Works and EPIC Property Management, LLC (EPIC) are excited to announce the lease-up of Cook Crossing, an affordable senior community located in Redmond on Veterans Way next to Lowes home improvement store. The development will provide Redmond with new affordable housing for 48 senior households. As an affordable property, income restrictions will apply and rents will be well below market rates. The 48 units will serve Central Oregon senior households (55 and older) earning less than 50% of the Area Median Income.

Given the expected flood of applicants due to the current housing crisis, EPIC will be accepting applications for four days only, selecting qualified tenants through a lottery. The waitlist lottery will ensure that all applicants are given an equal opportunity to obtain an affordable apartment. The application packet can be accessed online at https://epicopenings.net.

Applications will be accepted Monday, April 10th through Thursday, April 13th between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Applications must be hand-delivered to the office of Spencer Court Apartments at 2445 SW Canal Blvd., Redmond, OR. The time that you apply during the open period does not affect your position on the waitlist; however, late applications will not be accepted.

This exciting new senior community is being developed by Housing Works, the largest affordable housing provider in Central Oregon, in response to the critical shortage of affordable rental housing in Redmond.  Cook Crossing will offer one- and two-bedroom units.  Residents will enjoy controlled entry access, elevator access to all residential floors, private balconies with outstanding views of Central Oregon, community and fitness rooms and desirable interior amenities. Mosaic Medical’s new Redmond clinic will be located on the ground floor.
