Sisters, OR. Housing Works and EPIC Property Management, LLC (EPIC) will begin taking applications on October 22nd for Ponderosa Heights, an affordable apartment community located in Sisters at 601 N Brooks Camp Road behind Ray’s Food Place. The development will provide Sisters with new affordable housing for 48 households. As an affordable property, income restrictions will apply and rents will be well below market rates.
EPIC will be accepting applications for four days only, selecting qualified tenants through a lottery. The waitlist lottery will ensure that all applicants are given an equal opportunity to obtain an affordable apartment. Pets will be permitted with a pet deposit.
Applications will be accepted Monday, October 22nd through Thursday, October 25th between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Applications must be hand-delivered to the office of Tamarack Village at 555 N. Larch Street, Sisters, Oregon. The time that you apply during the open period (October 22nd through 25th) does not affect your position on the waitlist, as it will be generated through a lottery process. Late applications will not be accepted.
The community will offer 32 one-bedroom units, 8 two-bedroom units and 8 three-bedroom townhomes on 2.12 acres for families at or below 60% area median income (AMI). The community consists of 6 buildings. Housing Works expects 40 units to be available for occupancy in December. The remaining 8 units are expected in January.
Ponderosa Heights is being developed by Housing Works, the largest affordable housing provider in Central Oregon, in response to the critical shortage of affordable rental housing in Sisters. The apartment community will offer residents a variety of services and activities through a number of partner agencies.
